The use of de-icing salt is necessary to maintain high levels of winter safety. Because its use is confined to the three months of winter, salt producers at distribution sites must maintain large storage piles. Gallo’s adequate and strategically located storage facilities ensure prompt, reliable delivery of salt to state and local municipalities.

Gallo has operated a major salt depot in three locations since 1965. As one of Eastern Massachusetts’ leading salt suppliers, Gallo has offloaded, stored and distributed more than one million tons of road salt to state and local municipalities.
